Serious Issues
Issues such as Aggression, Phobias, Separation and other Anxiety Disorders require
serious evaluation and consideration. Some of these issues are curable. Some are controllable
to some degree. And some are simply not fixable. However, every dog
deserves a chance to improve their behavior.
For Serious Issues, we will schedule an evaluation appointment to discuss your
dog's problems. We will then decide how far the behavior can be improved. Your
veterinarian may also be included in the process.
Training will include obedience, prevention and teaching the dog another way to
respond in a problem situation. Guidelines and goals will be set for you to reach
in each training session. Progress can be made quickly, but this does take commitment
on the part of the family. You must be up for that commitment.
One of the reasons veterinarians refer their tough cases to me is because I will
give you my honest opinion of how far training may take your dog. I will not take
on any case that I don't feel I can help. How much help and what level we can
manage resonably is your choice. I won't take on any dog I don't think can be managed
by my teaching.
